Giancarlo @giancarlopurch was born in New York on August 2, 2000. He recently moved back to New York, and loves the opportunities you can find every day in NYC. \nNowadays, Giancarlo runs his own website and a successful YouTube channel, but he got his start closer to home by selling sneakers at local conventions. He recorded his experiences and created tutorial videos. Instead of using his videos to sell, he taught about the process of selling and grew his following through daily videos. In order to create these videos for his audience Giancarlo spent numerous hours researching the market prices of sneakers.

\n“Most of the adversity you face are from your friends that see you are pursuing something that they had the chance to, but didn’t. Same goes for family. A lot of people normally in the beginning of your journey will doubt you and convince you to do otherwise, but the best way to overcome adversity is to have a belief stronger than anybody’s doubt. Once you have developed a vision for your plan or goal, don’t let anybody stop you. Be prepared to lose friends, gain haters, and doubters, but it’s all a sign that you’re on the right path because along your journey you discover and attract supporters and help from the right people believe in you.”
In 10 years he hopes to see myself as a transformational thought leader empowering millions of people to pursue their passion and dreams demonstrating his success which he built from nothing. Consulting for multiple 8-10 figure business, owning over 100 doors in real estate, traveling the world, and doing what he loves. He is a lover and the most interesting fact he claims that people don’t know about him is that he is a big flirt.

If he were to do a collaboration for B2C he would love to work with Audemars Piguest because those are his favorite watches. Born in Hialeah, FL, on September 2nd, 1995, Karissa Rivera (@karissarivera) was raised in a humble home. She credits everything she has in her life mainly to her grandparent’s struggle to come to the US with the desire to create a better life for their family.

They met in art school in Miami.
\nMy mother stopped living her dream of becoming a fashion designer when she had me at 20 years old. My parents now own their own graphic design firm and work from home and have been married for over 23 years. I look up to them so much.
Karissa says that her being raised in a loving home that encouraged creativity and integrity has helped her become the person she is today.

Although Karissa is a current resident of Miramar, she says she just tells people she lives in Ft. Lauderdale, “…because Miami people get mad when I say Miami”.
\nToday, Karissa works for a big law firm in Ft. Lauderdale and attends NSU Law. She is a first-generation professional and has aspirations to live a financially free life where she can support her parents and grandparents, and give them back all the support and opportunity they gave her.
\nMiami feels like her home city. She loves the diversity and culture of the city and the fact that she can eat, dance, or chill at all hours anywhere around Miami because everything closes late.

Also, there is a materialistic facade Miami people try to flaunt. When tourists come to the city they can sometimes be violent and pollute heavily. She would love to see a change in these things in the future!
\nOne day, Karissa sees herself living in Canada, because she supports their liberal politics and overall mentally healthier living style.
\nWe asked her about some of the challenges she has faced up to this point.

Yes, I’ve been discriminated against for being a young woman in the professional workplace. Yes, I have been sexualized and thought of as “less than” because of my looks.
\nFor example, that I must not be smart, or I only do influencer gigs or that I’m an escort as opposed to a promotional or ambiance model…
In reality, Karissa is grateful to her city for providing her a strong Hispanic community that encourages diversity.

(sorry not sorry if anyone gets offended by this).
Karissa has worked with brands like @nike, @danielwellington, and @membersonlyusa, just to name a few.
\nWhen it comes to other brands she would like to work with, the name isn’t very important to her. What really matters is working with brands that are high-quality, and not just looking for clout.
\nRather than making their primary focus marketing, she would much rather stand behind a brand with an amazing product that everyone loves, no matter who promotes it.
\n\n
Karissa has her sights set on becoming a partner at the firm she is currently working on. As mentioned before, she wants to give back to her family for raising her in such a supportive environment.
\nShe would like to buy her parents a home one day!
\nHere’s a fun fact! Did you know she was born left-handed, but she’s right-handed now?
\nHer mother came from a Cuban household and had no clue being a lefty is normal! Every time Karissa tried using her left hand, her mother corrected it, which leads her to only do things right-handed today.
\nWhat’s even funnier… her younger brother is a lefty.

\nMany users today find themselves at a moral crossroads. Do they continue to grow their Instagram audience organically, or do they whip out the wallet and succumb to the growing trend?

Today, your profile is your marketing tool and when you are marketable, businesses want a piece of the action.

Instagram doesn’t just affect your status among social media, it might affect your ability to get a job. In the world of fashion, Insta profiling is notably prevalent.
\nIf your a designer looking for an assistant, wouldn’t it be in your best interest to hire someone with a large following? Odds are you would because now your new employee can show off your designs to all their followers.
\nThere you have it. Your audience and potential buyers just multiplied exponentially.

I asked fashion model @jennawestofficial how she felt about the buying of fake followers. This is what she had to say.
\n\nQ: Firstly, what sort of modeling experience do you have?
\nA: I have modeled for Nars makeup, Paul MItchell, Custo Barcelona, Carmen Steffens and more. But those are the biggest ones. I’ve also been published in magazines. I do campaigns, editorials and runway.
\nQ: Certainly you are aware of the vast amount of people who are buying followers. How do you feel about that. Is it fair or unfair?
\nA: I think it’s unfair because a lot of models get work dependant upon how many followers they have, and they might not even be looking at a number that’s real.
\nIt isn’t about talent. There have been times where they ask me to write the amount of followers at a casting and typically they choose the girls that have the most.
\nI know personally a lot of models buy their own followers. Meanwhile, many of my followers’ likes and views on stories are from high profile people in the fashion industry, but people don’t take the time to look at that.
\nQ: You have tons of experience modeling for well-known designers, has this paid off when it comes to campaigning for Instagram or booking jobs via instagram?
\nA: In a way it’s paid off, but still, I always feel I have to have that higher number of followers despite my experience. I know I’d make more money if I had more followers.
\nSome brands won’t work with me because I don’t have the amount of followers they are looking for. The big designers typically don’t care as much because they’re almost beyond social media marketing, so it’s usually the start up companies that want the numbers.
\nBut even still, the number of followers in the modeling world is almost equal your worth in some sense. Some sense, not completely.
\nI mean, I’ve gotten booked for bigger jobs and brands verses models who have more followers but get more jobs.
\nQ: Have you bought or are you interested in buying followers?
\nA: I’ve been told by many people in the industry, including photographers that I should buy followers because it’d help me get booked more. At one point I bought a small amount and I instantly regretted it because I didn’t feel authentic. They all pretty much disappeared after a while anyway which now I’m kind of happy about.
\nI still feel the pressure from people and sometimes I’m conflicted. For now I refuse to buy followers, but the temptation is always there.
\n
According to Jenna, the competition for more followers is fierce. Often the pressure leads Instagrammers to invest. Afterall, iit doesn’t cost much.
\nIf you type in Buy Instagram Followers in a google search, the first website that pops up is BUZZOID. The least expensive package is 100 followers for $2.97. The most expensive package is 5,000 followers for $39.99. These prices just barely waver among the many other ‘buy followers’ sites.
\nAccording to SEMrush, the key phrase ‘buy Instagram followers’ comes up with an average search volume of 74,000, and the trend continues to grow.
\n\n
Instagram does not offer the buying of followers, but it does offer sponsored ads, which means that your post will be viewed by more people according to the demographic you choose.
\nAs far as buying these followers from external sites, Instagram has long been trying to weed out these fake followers. What might happen is that a buyer’s amount of fake followers begins to diminish. This means Instagram has most likely audited your account and found some shady looking profiles following you.
\nTIP: You can often spot fake followers yourself. Their profiles might have no pictures at all, or it may only have two or three.
\n\n
Instagram auditing programs are becoming more prevalent. These programs will show you the number of fake Instagram followers versus the number of real Instagram followers.
\nBusinesses that are particularly savvy about the trend of buying followers might ask you for an Instagram audit report. One company Furlough.com offers these results pertaining to social media influencers.
\nSide Note: To be deemed an influencer, one must have thousands upon thousands of followers.
\nThese companies that pay the Instagrammers to do their campaigns might be wasting their time and money. Who they thought had a mass following may have actually bought most of their followers.
\nWith these auditing programs, brands can become aware of which influencers will pay off. Furlough takes it to another level where the brand can not only see how many true followers the influencer has, their true fans, meaning those who are consistently viewing their posts, what categories they rank for and more.
\nStill, most of us are completely unaware such an audit exists. According to Semrush, the key phrase Instagram auditing comes up with a search volume 5903.6, far less than the search volume for the key phrase ‘buy Instagram followers.’

The key to gaining followers organically is to post quality content. Post photos and edit them. Utilize Instagram’s filter feature.

Her journey thus far has not come easy. Firstly, when she moved to a new state, she had to overcome being alone at the start of college, because she didn’t know anyone. She had to learn how to adapt to a new environment as a young adult with little to no knowledge of living on her own.
\nAfter that, she started a business and had to overcome a lot of struggles and failures in learning how to run her own business. There are other struggles in her own personal life that helped shift into the person she is today.

\nHere is a fun fact that not many people know about her. She’s a DJ on the side!
\nAs an influencer, she has worked with multiple brands such as Showpo, Rebellious Fashion, Pretty Little Thing, and Lounge Underwear. She tells us she doesn’t have any dream brands. Although, she would love to work with any brand that treats it’s customers and influencers well, has great products, and has the drive to be successful.
