The word “influencer” didn’t have the same meaning it does today. Around her senior year in the university, brands started reaching out to her about paid partnerships.

\nAs an introvert, Emily had to learn to deal with some negativity and cyberbullying. In her early days as an influencer, this was an issue for Emily but after awhile she was able to overcome the negativity.

Before Rachel became an influencer, she worked in Construction Management for 13 years. Since she has always been one to take pictures of her food before digging in, after years of her friends pushing her to create a standalone page, she finally did it.

Pictures are worth a thousand words! Of course like many of us, it is never easy starting a new journey. Rachel said it can be hard working for yourself because there is never time to relax, to say no, and no off button. Work life tends to take over, and it does not leave much room for a social life.

Sometimes she wishes that she worked a job that ended at 5pm, but then there would not be any of the freedom this career gives or the ability to connect with her audience.

As someone that has always loved traveling, she reduced the amount she traveled after moving to Miami, which she says is paradise to her. This gave her the amazing opportunity to be able to showcase Miami’s local cuisines as well as share her many recommendations and travel experiences.
\nAfter a while, Rachel started to notice that her audience was starting to get curious about her workout and day to day routine. That is when she started incorporating behind the scenes footage of what goes on when she is not indulging in a big amount of food. Rachel does tons of yoga, spin and walking while eating a healthy meal behind the scenes; she will also sometimes walk 3 miles before eating.
\nMany of her audience ask what happens to the food she does not finish. Well, don’t worry, none if it goes to waste. She says that she often shoots with other bloggers, and sometimes even shares with the restaurant’s staff. Rachel also does a lot of drop offs to locals who are less fortunate.

Although it has been tough for her, with no sponsorships in months, she was able to use that time to achieve new cooking skills, be creative with how she showcases her outfits in her apartment, and create fun, new never before seen recipes on her page. This helped her become successful and grow into becoming her truest self while gaining a substantial amount of followers.
\nWith restaurants opening up again, Rachel uses her platform to help local places who have been struggling.

She does know that the right door, made for her will come her way as long as she puts the skills she learned through photography, editing and negotiating to use. These skills, as well as the connections she has made will land her directly where she needs to be.
\nWe also took the opportunity to ask Rachel about the dream brands she wants to work with one day. She said she has worked with some amazing brands such as, @Disney, @Toyota, @American Airlines, @Wendy’s, and @Norwegian Cruise. These were some of the brands that she is the most proud of and has trusted for years, she is very thankful that these companies have chosen her to represent them. As for dream brands, @Taco Bell is on her top list because of her obsession with it. She also wishes to be able to collaborate with @Kayak, @Doritios and @Oreos to name a few.

To end our interview with Rachel we asked her if she had to give her followers one piece of advice, or one thing what would it be. Rachel said she has seen and met many people throughout her life and she loves that people’s love for food is what unites us all. It was hard for her to express herself in the modelic fashionable way you all know her for today.

Throughout the beginning of her career she battled all kinds of criticism from followers for not posting explicit content like everyone else, but she made a stand making it very clear to her real followers that she wasn’t that type of person and won’t change who she is for fame.
\nAt the time when Morisho had her daughter, she decided that instead of juggling work and being a devout mom, she would just focus everything on raising her daughter as a full time mom. This is when everything fell into place because she started focusing on building herself as a brand and online presence. Morisho saw this as the perfect opportunity, she could be there to watch her daughter grow up all while influencing the fashion world today.
\nAs we mentioned earlier, her career on Instagram started with promoting others rather than herself, and this changed when she became a mom because she realized she had the business skills and fashion sense and all she had to do was utilize the two into promoting herself like she did for others. Although her path getting where she is today was rough due to criticism, she still pushes forward and strives for greater.

Morisho said that she isn’t where she wants to be, but she is getting there. Grace says Houston is nice because it’s very family friendly and slow, but in order to further succeed as an influencer she would like to move to California or New York because those are the places for that. She is eager to try and collaborate with the infamous Fenty brand by Rihanna, so we should keep an eye out for future projects. She tells us “I’m very divergent from other people because I’m a very eager individual. I always go for what I desire and I never give up until I obtain it.10 years from now, I’m extrapolating favorable outcomes.”

It is clear that Morisho will chase her aspirations no matter the struggle and as always we should be expecting new and bigger things from her!

When we asked Grace what’s one thing she would like to say to her followers, she said “If I had to tell my followers one thing it’s that, never give up on anything because when they tell you that you can be whatever you want, it’s not a lie, and it’s not easy but hunneyyy… it’s never easy. Persistence is the key to success. I’m telling you this because I’ve been through enough. Learn how to put a stop sign to your struggles. Never ask why but ask how. How can I better myself, how can I solve this?”

Karina told us that she’s also keenly looking forward to the day when she’ll be able to work with @Gucci, because Alessandro Michele’s aesthetic and sense of humor matches her own. In addition, Karina told us that working with the teams at these brands taught her how to create engaging and dynamic content for her audience. She said she instantly discovered alove for lifestyle-related content and engaging with her audience about trends and emerging fashion.

Although Karina is fluent in English, it was not her first language and she sometimes finds it difficult to speak in front of a camera. Karina enrolled in speech classes to help her performance and she says that these helped her to make significant progress with her on-camera jobs. Karina worked hard and is constantly working on herself, and as a result, she was able to become her own boss.
\nBeing your own boss is hard work. It requires you to be your own photographer, makeup artist, copywriter, producer and much more simultaneously. She wants people to understand that while these shoots are intended to appear effortless, a lot of work and creativity goes into their production. Despite all the work that gets put into becoming her own boss and influencer, Karina wouldn’t change a thing. She told us that she feels incredibly lucky to be able to produce artistic content for top brands, while still being true to herself and genuine with her audience.

The name was “Hotéis Incríveis,” a show for Brazilian television. He became more involved and learned about the luxury and travel industry. André loves the details, great service and treatment received in the luxury hotels.
\nAndré thinks when taking a break from directing TV, he would like to have some freedom for himself to travel around the planet.

His audience grew on Instagram and many of his loyal followers from Vine continued to follow and engage with him on Instagram and now on TikTok as @1dude2doodles.
\nReally, what is glory without the struggle? It wasn’t all for nothing. Brandon told us about how he has learned from his mistakes and also how those mistakes keep him sharp each day. He mentioned how he just keeps going by not letting obstacles paralyze him. We feel like that may be the Cleveland in his blood, always willing to put up a good fight to the end and never giving up. When asked what he sees for his business in the next 10 years, Brandon told us he wants to continue to grow his audience across popular platforms.

She confided in us that racism, bullying, and the language barrier made it even harder. “…It took a toll on my mental health as a child. It was hard to make sense of the reasoning behind such a sudden change. I met language barriers that made my school and personal life difficult to manage, but I never gave up. I knew it was all for a reason deep down… Learning English was extremely hard for me, and many times racism and bullying made it much harder to fully step into my power.”
\nThalia told us that she has battled self-esteem issues and struggled to fit in.
\nTo overcome this, she has indulged in self-love and took the time to learn how to be unapologetically herself despite society’s norms.
\nThroughout high school, Thalia gained confidence through cheerleading, becoming captain for two consecutive years. She credits cheerleading with teaching her leadership skills and discipline, but she didn’t stop there. After high school, Thalia began studying broadcast media and journalism at Florida International University and discovered a passion for writing and news anchoring. She makes sure to feed her artistic side as well through modeling and music videos as she works towards her dream of becoming a journalist.

While some might call her a “witch,” she’s not a fan of labels.
\nThalia has worked with Fashion Nova, Pretty Little Thing, and many other fashion brands, but believes that her most exciting work is yet to come. She aspires to work with PLAYBOY in the near future, telling us “I am a very free-spirited being, and I stand behind women and our rights to our sexuality forever… it would be an honor to be able to show the world that our sacred bodies are meant to be worshiped.”

Thalia sees a bright future for herself. She hopes to one day live in Ibiza, Spain, and sees herself in ten years as a 33-year-old boss mom who runs her own business while still being a full-time wife. She hopes to build a happy home where love matters more than money.

During this trip we had the ability to dive deep and get to know her. Born February 5th, 1997 in Mt. Vernon Ohio but currently living in Los Angeles, CA. When it comes to where she sees herself living next it is either Columbus or Los Angeles… or bicoastal, it’s hard for her to choose. She likes to follow her heart and opportunity that makes sense at that point in her life. So destination unknown, but lots of places she knows she wants to go.

A home that has been her forever home, Columbus, Ohio. Then her new home that has been calling her name since she’s been a young girl. With Columbus, she loves the nostalgic, prideful and authentic essence. It gives her the calmness of the country but the electricity of the city, both reflecting a lot within her. With Los Angeles, she loves its infinity. By infinity, she means its endless possibility to be malleable and fluid. You can be whatever you want, however you want but built and raised upon your work ethic and morals. Like many places, there is a yin and yang to everything. With Columbus, beyond the mundane weather and occasional traffic jams, she dislikes that Columbus’ creatives, entrepreneurs, and young professionals aren’t on the map as much as she thinks they should be. Slowly but surely, Columbus is being discovered for the great city it is but she personally thinks it should have happened sooner. With Los Angeles, she dislikes conformity. As much as she loves what she just praised… about its uniqueness and limitless boundary, there are still so many lost and easily conformed to whatever that bubble encloses them in… something she has caught even herself in. She strives to not only maintain her individuality but to embrace it and brand it with longevity.

She originates from a small small town in Ohio called Mount Vernon. At age 2, her parents divorced and her mom took us to what they thought was the “big city”, Columbus! This became their new home and it was one of the most pivotal and essential parts of her life as she wouldn’t have created the life she has now in the original small town of Mt. Vernon. A few years passed, she enrolled in a dance studio and fell in love. She quickly found a burning passion that she did extremely well at, launching her into a competitive dance career. She traveled all across the midwest, making many trips back and forth to New York to perform with Broadway Bound. She loved being center stage, performing, the makeup, the costumes, the whole experience was truly whimsical and she loved every part of it. It was all she ever wanted to do and she truly thought it was her one life calling! Being a dancer and performer still highly transcends into aspects of who she is today.

Middle School rolled around and she wanted to be more involved with school activities since her dance life was so consuming outside of it. She tried out for the volleyball team and without any hesitation, she found another love. She ended up giving dance up for volleyball which was a difficult but necessary move at the time. Fast forward, she ended up being a 4 year varsity letter winner in high school and on a National Club volleyball team for Elite Volleyball Training Center where they won Nationals in Dallas, TX when she was 16. That is a very dramatic fast forward, so as you can expect, a lot happened in-between this time. But the important things you need to know are about her development.

Volleyball truly developed her as a strong, passionate and resilient leader. She was every team captain from 7th grade to college. She aspired to be that role once she felt its pride and power. She found that it was natural for her to lead and she enjoyed it. This leadership role is what led her to then be a member of the National Honor Society, Class Cabinet as Class Secretary and be in the top 10 of her class. She loved achieving, it was and still is one of her favorite things to do… and whilst fully transitioning to adult mode now, she is realizing it is a blessing and a curse because the real world doesn’t give out gold stars, points or grades for working your ass off.

Senior year of high school, the lovely senior picture time comes around. She was put into contact with a senior photographer, David Beckham, who had a Senior Model program where you take one of his workshops and then he also takes your senior photos. Today, she has David to thank for starting her modeling career. He was the first person she got professional photos from which lead her to submit them to a local agency, who she is still signed with today! Modeling was never really a first thought for her, just kind of something to do on the side for fun. So what happened after high school?

She got into Ohio State University to study Finance in the Fisher College of Business. She played volleyball for Ohio State the first year until she ended up getting hurt and needing surgery. She joined Alpha Phi Sorority, Order of Omega Greek National Honors Society and Undergraduate Women’s Business Association. During this time, she was getting booked on her first modeling jobs in Columbus for La Senza, Victoria Secret, Express and Abercrombie which was huge to her at this point. If you didn’t know, Columbus is a huge fashion hub for headquarters, so she was blessed with working very early on.
\n College was the beginning of the whole instagram world for her. At the beginning, it was just another social media platform she posted her silly friend pictures on. It slowly transitioned for her when she started posting more of herself and it began to do well. The sorority world also launched the instagram content with it being “the” thing to do. Again, fast forward a few years, she has about 20k followers and is interested in doing more modeling and what her life looked like post graduation.
\n
She always had her eye on California but wasn’t sure how she, Gabby from Mount Vernon, Ohio, would ever get there and actually have a place there. Her oldest sister, Jessica, lived in Huntington Beach for 10 years so she would often visit. It became more familiar and enticing each time she went. The goal was to get a job in marketing or finance after graduating college, that was until she found NewMark Models in summer 2018. She was in California for the summer and she wanted to visit agencies while there. She ended up visiting all the main ones in LA but truly connected with Jules NewMark, the owner and creator of NewMark Models! There was just something different about her, her energy and the potential she saw in her.
\n So, she graduated early in fall of 2018 with my degree in Finance. She moved to Los Angeles, CA in January 2019 and she has almost lived there for a full year now. She does modeling full time whilst working remotely for a tech start-up called Aesthetic Record. She loves that she still gets to use my degree in business but can still pursue this new passion of her. If you would have told her that at 22 years old, she would be living in Los Angeles pursuing modeling, working for a tech startup and flourishing as an entrepreneur … she probably would have believed you, but she would’ve asked, well how did she do it?
\n
Her ambition as a young girl was unlike anything else but it’s what has gotten her to where she is today. She constantly has a fire burning inside of her to go further and achieve more, not because she is necessarily looking for the finish line but because she loves the process. She loves to learn, she loves challenges, she loves to push herself. She says yes to everything because you never know where a single opportunity, encounter or experience can lead you.. that is so thrilling to her. She is in an infinite process of goal setting, dream chasing and becoming the best she can be.
\n She, like most, has had many struggles along her journey. With each new goal, at each new point in her life, new struggles arise. She thinks one of the biggest struggles she has faced was her worry of not being good enough. She thinks this insecurity is deeply rooted in another reason why she aspires to achieve so much. Growing up her parents were very loving and supportive with anything she did, so she ultimately thinks this adversity was something she created herself. It is a common problem many people face, especially in this era of social media and constant comparison, but it is one she now has some insight on.
\n
To overcome this adversity, a powerful tool is to self-reflect. When she looks to the past, she feels a lot of gratitude to remember times where she was mentally and physically to then compare that to where she is today. When you self reflect, you go through the journey again and you can see things more clearly. Self reflecting has given her the ability to show herself gratitude, respect and empathy rather than deploying judgement and insecurities. The truth is, everyone is insecure and unsure of themselves. If you bridge that gap with understanding and compassion, the world seems a bit less lonely and you can be kinder to yourself. Her favorite ways to self reflect are to journal, revisit goals and to do audible journaling with this app called Day One!
\n We wanted to know where she would be 10 years from now and this question is always a little tough/silly for her because her mind changes like the wind. She has so many loves in life and places she wants to go. She has direction but no destination because she lives very fluidly. The common answer would be to be financially independent, be in a strong, healthy relationship and to “be happy”. Of course she wants those things too! — but ultimately, in 10 years, she hopes to be happy on her terms by living out her passions through her talents and strengths, alongside the people she loves. We found out she also has a couple poems published as well. She used to think she wanted to be an author!
Her favorite collaborations are ones that directly reflect who she is as a person and the kind of brand she wants to be perceived as. One of her earliest and ongoing partnerships is with an Australian health and wellness brand, Tropeaka. They are plant based, organic, non gmo, cruelty free…. etc. Their supplements actually taste amazing and she loves their marketing/branding! Another collaboration she is proud of is with Meshki! She has always loved their product and girl boss vibe, so to be working with them now is really exciting!
\n But what about dream brands? Tesla – She deeply aligns with Tesla’s values and mission to be more environmentally friendly. She also loves Tesla’s business model. She thinks their marketing and branding is very lucrative and sexy — but they have a market lacking in women. Men are typically the consumer of Tesla products, so to do a collaboration with them would not only empower women to make this transition to electric vehicles for sustainability but to transition it to be the “cool thing” for women too. LuluLemon — she loves their latest marketing images embracing all body types. She is a returning customer so she believes in the brand and the quality. Dr. Axe — One of her favorite holistic doctors who has a brand called Ancient Nutrition. Incredibly intelligent human with science backed products.
In closing, we asked if she can leave one message to her readers what would it be?
\n“My favorite quote, like I mentioned before… “I am the captain of my ship, and the master of my fate.” You can create whatever it is you want in life, you just have to realize everything that does or doesn’t happen is in your hands and you can take the reigns.”

She went through a dark period of depression recently that really took a huge toll on her and all she wanted to do now is take back her life. Make it one that she loves every single day.

She’s extremely confident, friendly and outgoing so making new friendships and connections has never been too hard for her. She’s trying to grow in all aspects here, fitness, modeling, intellect, you name it. There’s always something she’s working towards and even though she doesn’t quite know what that is, it doesn’t stop her from trying to find it. A few months back she relapsed in her depression, really hard too. She woke up every day angry that she woke up, and she knew that wasn’t her. She knew that wasn’t the life she was meant to live. She found strength through alone time, meditation and connecting with herself in knowing that all emotions, feelings and times are temporary. We would never know the feeling of happiness if we never experienced unhappiness, and that’s something she always had to remind myself. Instead of drowning in her pain and misery, She tried to see it in a way of ‘what is this teaching her and how can she grow?’ It’s always going to be a struggle but it’s a struggle that I know she will rid of one day soon.

We wanted to know where she would be 10 years from now and this is a question that she’s never been able to answer. She’s never been someone with long term goals and that used to stress her out a lot. She found comfort in knowing that she doesn’t have to know what she wants to do years from now, but instead focus on her small milestones from day to day or week to week that she would like to achieve. Wherever she is in 10 years she knows it will be full of love, happiness, wealth and abundance

She’s collaborated with smaller businesses that are eco friendly that seek to bring awareness to our oceans and marine life. But what’s her dream brand to work with? Dolls kill: they are her biggest fashion inspiration in terms of unique and edgy style. 4ocean: as she said, she’s big into marine life and oceans so being able to help clean and rebuild our ecosystems underwater would be a huge success for her. Adidas: for her, in fitness and modeling, that’s the ultimate goal for her is to collaborate with a brand like them.

Giancarlo @giancarlopurch was born in New York on August 2, 2000. He recently moved back to New York, and loves the opportunities you can find every day in NYC. Now that the city is reopening, he’s taking every chance he can get to hop in and continue being active before the scene is oversaturated again.
\nWe’re excited to introduce you to Giancarlo Purch, also known as Blazendary. Giancarlo is a lifestyle vlogger, streetwear influencer, and entrepreneur.
\nNowadays, Giancarlo runs his own website and a successful YouTube channel, but he got his start closer to home by selling sneakers at local conventions. He recorded his experiences and created tutorial videos. Instead of using his videos to sell, he taught about the process of selling and grew his following through daily videos. In order to create these videos for his audience Giancarlo spent numerous hours researching the market prices of sneakers.
