Well hello there Lindsay Demyan. We got the pleasure to get to know @lindsaydemyan on Instagram. She was born in Arizona August 28th, 2001 but is living in Los Angeles now. We asked where she was heading to next and she told us she thinks that New York is in her future. Her love for Los Angeles has got to be the culture and diversity but just like everyone else she hates the traffic.

She got her start by competing in beauty pageants when she was much younger. She loved the preparation for competition with all the photoshoots and costume design. Upon the recommendation of the photographers, she signed with my first agency at 9 years old mainly doing film and some commercials. As she grew taller, modeling seemed a much better fit as “Runway” is her true passion! She spent the past 3 months working in Italy and her goal is to work with agencies in other markets and continue to travel. She loves the industry and can’t wait to see what the future has in store.

When it comes to adversity she always continues to believe in herself, work hard and keep a positive attitude. Not booking a job doesn’t get her down, it just means she’s not the right fit for that project.  When a door closes, a window opens and there is always something new on the horizon. Remaining positive is a must.

In 10 years she claims she’ll be living the dream. Interesting fact we learned is she used to race BMX and was also on her highschool mountain bike team. Her current favorite collaboration is Miss Sixty but her dream brands are iconic brands like Dior, Chanel and Gucci as they are the pinnacle of fashion design.

She collaborated with many more bikini and clothing brands and noticed her following continue to grow exponentially.

Isabella is only 19, yet she has so many goals and things she’d like to accomplish! She is still a college student and lives with her family in Miami.

On top of posting on Instagram and collaborating with some of the platform’s most popular brands, she works as a receptionist at an engineering company.

\n

One of her goals is to have her own bikini company that is not just selling bikinis, but also has an empowering message to women and makes them feel proud to wear the brand.

Passion for Photography

An influencer in the photography niche, Dereck started photography about 5 years ago. He picked up a camera during the time he was working a boring 9-5 job.

His passion for photography quickly grew and he slowly started to venture into videography. Currently, he has clients in both videography and photography spread throughout the U.S.

For two years, Dereck struggled a lot to make ends meet. He was eating the same food every day, walking almost 2 miles just to talk to some local businesses to try to get more bookings.

In fact, there were two separate occasions in the early years of his career that he had to go back to a 9-5 job. He was determined to continue working on his side-hustle with photography.

Once I finally learned the logistics of how to make more money doing what I do, I finally was able to make a substantial amount of money per month with only 5-10 local clients.

Dereck eventually ended up making all the right connections he needed in the industry. His company now offers services in SEO, Content Creation, Social Media Management, and Advertising.

Running a Successful Marketing Business

\n

Dereck has his own company that manages over 25 accounts in Miami & Los Angeles! It took him 5-6 years roughly just to be able to get to this point in his career.

Collaborations his company has had include Nike, Miller Light, The Billionaires Club, and SLS hotels. He has his sights on working with brands such as Off White, because Virgil is leading the innovation of men/woman clothing right now.

It would be an honor to incorporate street photography with the luxury of Louis Vuitton. And make an instance campaign because really where are the people wearing his clothes? On the streets.

What is Next for @Derecksupreme?

One day, Dereck sees himself traveling the world with his wife and creating amazing photos for different types of women across the world.

He and his wife plan to style all of their own shoots and eventually create an app where one can log specific shoot locations, outfits, and colors for shoots & schedule times. Dereck has had this idea for years and is excited to finally be executing it!

1. L’Appartment Sezane

L’Appartment Sezane is a Parisian dream in the heart of Soho in New York City. L’Apppartment Sezane is a French clothing boutique and is also one of the favorite places of all bloggers and photographers.

But what makes this place Insta-famous is the outside setting. The outside is a Floral Heaven: the beautiful flower arch at the entrance, vintage bicycle, and the cute bench to sit on while taking the pictures.  At the entrance, you will find another Instagrammable spot—tiled floor with the sign “Bonjour New York” on it.

Pietro Nolita is one of the most Instagrammable places in NYC ever. It is an Italian restaurant with a pink décor inside and outside. Everything here is pink: the walls are pink, the chairs are pink, the napkins are pink, and even the bathroom is pink.

This place is a millennial dream place to take tons of selfies and pictures. If you are not hungry for food, you can always take the picture outside of the restaurant. What makes this place unique is its pink color.

It is very rare to see a bright pink-colored spot with a bunch of hearts on the doors in New York City because the city has a lot of brick, brownstones, and grey buildings. This place attracts many people, tourists, and bloggers.

There are lines of girls waiting outside of this restaurant to take photos. For the best chance of getting great pictures, you might want to go there early morning on the weekday.

3. Washington Square Park

Washington Square Park is the most recognizable Instagram spot in all New York City. The predominant feature of the park is the Washington Arch.  The arch was modeled after the Arc de Triomphe in Paris and was the decoration for a celebration of George Washington’s inauguration.

4. Brooklyn Bridge

The best spot to take a photo is on the Brooklyn side. It’s better to take a train to the High Street- Brooklyn Bridge station. There is the Brooklyn Bridge Pedestrian Walkway.

10. Top Of The Rock

Top Of The Rock is the top tourist destination in New York City. An observation deck sits on the top of the 70-floor building and offers a great view of the city. The ticket costs $32 and the best time to take pictures is an hour before sunset. T

he only downside of this trip is the waiting line at the entrance. The approximate wait time is up to one hour.

The alternative way to make beautiful shoots without waiting in line is going to the SpyGlass Rooftop Bar or The Crown at 50 Bowery.

Alvaro Emilio Moser (@alvaromoser) has always been the type to not give up on what matters to him. Born on February 17th, 1993 in Caracas, Venezuela and traveling to Miami, Florida to pursue his passion in photography while barely scraping by some months just goes to prove what he would do for his dreams.

At the age of 15, Alvaro first fell in love with photography instantly when attending Vans Warped Tour with his friend. His friend was taking photos of all the brands and he asked her if he could use it, and he hasn’t set a camera down since.

Fast forward to Christmas at 16, Alvaro got his very own DSLR and started experimenting with different photo styles. When he turned 18 he got hired to take photos at a music event and discovered he could make money while doing what he loved and since then has been trying to stay on the path of freelance photography.

\n

Currently, he is a resident of Miami, Florida, which he loves because of its diversity and many things to do. He likes that whether you’re a beer connoisseur looking for the perfect beer out of the many breweries across the city or a hype beast looking for the perfect shoes and shirt to add to your wardrobe; or even if you cant choose between city or beach, you can do both in the same day easily.

Although he says what he dislikes is probably the lack of community across fields of professions, causing competition and unnecessary hate, he wishes it were more about people building together instead of people building against each other.

There have been times where Alvaro has broken down and thought about selling all of his camera equipment and just getting a job at Best Buy or someplace. Starting out as a freelance photographer in Miami is hard for anyone because you have to consistently find people willing to pay your rate.

When starting out he sometimes found himself having to spread out money as thin as possible.

Every time I pick up my camera for work I get reminded of why I should never quit. Nothing makes me happier than snapping a great photo and going home and making it even greater.

In the years to come, Alvaro prefers to still be doing freelance photography and videography with a consistent income to be able to live comfortably.

He has currently worked some big-name brands. Some notable brands Alvaro has worked with are @Ripndip, @BoutineLA, @LONPARNY, & @wbpictures.

There are some brands that most photographers would love to work with such as Nike or Victoria’s Secret. 

\n

Alvaro would be very happy to work with them, yet if he had a choice, he’d want to work with brands that are in his day to day life such as @pennyskateboards, @puffco, and even @Sony, since he loves his @playstation. Working with these brands would be much more fulfilling to him.

Everything from Photo Editing to Finding the Right Caption

Step 1: How To Take Good Instagram Photos of Yourself

\n

It’s all about the pose, the lighting and the background. First off, the pose. Use ideas from your favorite Instagram models. Generally speaking, I like to use the “looking off into the distance” pose. This one is best used when you are outdoors and in cool public places like in this photo. 

\n

For these photos, I would suggest getting a tripod with remote photo snapping. Or if you have a good friend, ask them for help. Then there’s the typical duck face, kissy face, model pout, fish gape, hair curtain, etc.

\n

I’m sure you will see these all the time. Once you have a pose picked out and a background set, you need to make sure you have the right lighting. Natural lighting is the best kind of lighting. I’m sure you’ve heard of “golden hour,” which is right as the sun is about to set and everything just looks magical and perfect. This is the best time to take a photo of yourself.

\n

If you’re too late for golden hour, there’s always the opportunity of using a ring light. Honestly, ring lights are Gods gift to the lighting impaired. I would suggest using one that is LED just cause the light is just enough to grasp the perfect photo, while also saving you tons of money on your electricity bill. There is always going to be something that you want to adjust with your photo whether it is the lighting, your makeup, the filter, the theme, the list goes on. Photo editing apps were created just for this reason. Here are my TOP 5 personal favorites.

\n

 5) PICSART – Add Stickers | Use Templates | Try Filters | Use Brushes |Create Collages | Remove Objects.

\n

 This app is an all in one fave. I love it mostly for the cool and artistic filters it offers. Whether it’s adding a sketch effect or just getting the colors right this is the app to use. It’s also kind of like Photoshop if you know how to use it right.

\n

4) INSTASIZE – Add Filters| Add Backgrounds| Create The Perfect Format | Make A Collage | Control Color.

\n

This app is great for getting your photos in the right format for every platform. I use this one to make sure my photos will fit perfectly into my Instagram theme.

\n

3) CANVA – Create Designs | Use Templates | Design Logos and Flyers | Magic Resize | Images with Text | Bring Your Brand to Life.

\n

This app is perfect for creating the perfect InstaStories. The templates they have are absolutely gorgeous and it is extremely user-friendly. On top of that, if you have a brand or are a brand ambassador this app will make your life so much easier. 

\n

2) VSCO – Professional Editing Tools | Advanced Presets | Expression | Community. 

\n

This app is kind of like it’s own version of Instagram, but with better presets. It is also mentioned a lot recently on the app TikTok aka Musical.ly for it’s high quality aesthetics.

\n

 1) MAKEUPPLUS – Live Makeup | AR Glam | Vibrant Hair Colors | Looks By Your Faves.

\n

If you’ve ever had a “bad face” day, this is the app for you. Not only can you fix your makeup but you can even play around with your hair color. For the girls with short eyelashes, this can give you the perfect volume. For the girl just trying to figure out what color to dye their hair next, you can test all of the shades of the rainbow. For the girl wanting to add aesthetic freckles to your already beautiful look, this gives you that grand opportunity. Overall this is a must-have app.

Step 3: Finding The Perfect Caption 

\n

Now that you’re posing like a model in golden hour and editing your photo to perfection, it is time to upload and add a caption.

\n

If you’re anything like me, then you probably have been swiping through Instagram fawning over all of the perfectly worded captions in your feed. You’ve already gone through Pinterest searching up quotes that would match your photo, but it is just way too cheesy or doesn’t quite fit. All of this to say just quit looking to everyone else when you already have your own voice.

\n

Your audience, although I’m sure they love reading your Taylor Swift lyric snippets on your photos, would rather hear what you have to say. Your ideas are original. They are unique to you. Nobody else has the same things to say as you and that is what will make the perfect caption. Here are some personal examples.

Make sure not to create too long of a caption. With the way that the gram is set up, they might not be able to see the whole thing without clicking the “see more” button. If you want to make it even more fun you can add fun little emoji’s or symbols to fully express yourself and your unique style.
