You tap on their shoulder and when they turn around their face is robotic looking, and you realize you are about to talk to an AI. You almost feel like you’re in a future realm. Well this could be the reality, AIs are on their way to take over our jobs and some AIs have already replaced human jobs.
\nAIs are already part of our life. The first time you saw a self-checkout aisle at the store did you think of an AI? Well, that is just the start of the job takeover by the AIs. It has been predicted that as many as 8 million jobs will be taken over by AIs worldwide by 2030. Will this be you or are lucky enough not to have to find a new field?
\nWhat is artificial intelligence? AI is the result of engineering and science creating smart machines. First, there was rule-based AIs, where the robot was given a set of rules to fallow for a specific task.
\nNow there are also, AIs that continually learn from the data they collect, and that is the machine learning robots. Machine learning robots can be dangerous. The more data Machine learning robots are given the more they learn, and in turn, these AIs will take over more jobs that humans originally did.
\nArtificial intelligence has been around for longer then most people think. The thought of AI has been around since ancient times. The actual field of artificial intelligence was officially founded at a conference at Dartmouth College surprisingly not till 1956.
\nEverybody has had interactions with some sort of AI like;
\nYeah, it is great having those convinces. You probably do not think much about the interactions you have with the smart machines, but people used to do those jobs. The more scientists push for AI funding the more jobs AIs will take over.
\nIs this for the better or worse? A big fear many people have is that their job could be replaced by AIs. Haven’t humans already delt jobs being replaced by some sort of technology? Yes, we have gone through this before, machines taking jobs.
\nThe difference with this is how rapidly people are expecting robots to take human jobs. The danger in this is, it doesn’t give people time to learn a new skill to have a job down the road. The AIs will take most jobs that don’t require upper education, that are repetitive and on the less creative side will disappear quicker than others.
\nA career that is expected to be taken over by 2027 by robots is truck driving. Like many other jobs that AIs will take over, truck driving is a job that people who don’t go to school can do. They can also make a decent living and stay out of poverty.
\nAre we really going to let AIs replace jobs and possible ruin many people’s lives? I can’t imagine how devastating that is for billions of families.

It’s not only the customer service jobs that are in jeopardy due to AIs taking jobs. Some professional jobs are in danger as well, like, accountants, Drs, and lawyers.

An article on Fortune stated that “40% of jobs in the world will be replaced by robots within the next 15 years.” Some people speculate that more jobs will open in the AI industry, but others say that’s BS.
\nIf the AIs job take over is primarily the repetitive jobs, then why wouldn’t an AI help to make the other AIs. I don’t see more job opening due to more AIs needing to be made. This is a huge job loss that should worry people.
\nMany people will have to learn a new trait, or somehow get an education when they don’t have a way to pay for it. One would hope that the government would help out and try to figure out a new route for people who lost their jobs.
\nOr, is it just going to be more people in poverty and using the government’s benefits? Sadly, I have not heard of anything that the government is doing to prepare the US citizens for this; however, there still is time for the government to figure some things out.

That is, having robots take over certain jobs it will eliminate some of the mistake’s humans do, making the process go smoother and quicker.
\nThis would help humans not work as many hours during the week. In turn, it would give people more free time to do what they want and start enjoying life more. The article also speculated that expenses would go down. Having AIs work will be cheaper to make products, however; people’s income would also drop.
\nHopefully, as outcome companies would drop their prices. Sadly, if companies want to be greedy, they could keep their prices high until enough people can’t buy their products.
\nWill people be ok with making less and would everything end up balancing out? Theirs’s already enough hard-working people with professional jobs who are barely making it by because of the cost of living.
\nNow, most households need both people working if you want to be able to do things you enjoy. It is hard for me to believe that things would balance out. That doesn’t even consider all the people who lost their jobs due to AIs taking their job.

AIs will make things safer. I understand the need to make sure the public is safer. Having AIs drive will cut down auto accidents. I think that’s great and if the self-driving cars are that good then we should have them.
\nHowever, the people who are losing their job should be given the option to go through a program that helps them gain skills that will not be taken over by AIs.

You have worked in customer service your whole life because you can make a decent living off it, but now that industry is gone. What should you do? I would start learning a new skill that AIs will not take over.

Instead of having your first job be in customer service chances are the younger generations first job will be in their career. The days where fast food is run by humans will end. Children need to be prepared to have skills coming out of high school if they don’t plan on going to school, or should the government implement a trade school option for Juniors and Seniors in high school?
\nThe parents need to start encouraging kids to not be lazy and figure what they like and how that can be applied to a non-AI career, computer science is never a bad option.
\nWhat is sad is that there will always be lazy people who will only do what they need to get by. What will happen to those people? More homeless people or more people on state benefits?
\nSomething needs to be done so people don’t lose their career because scientists want to create a machine so smart that it takes over people’s lives. People will lose their source of income, because of the AIs taking over and will we have another rust belt on our hands?
\nYes, there are some positives to AIs doing some jobs but to what extent will it end?

Electronics are impossible to get away from but that doesn’t mean we should constantly have a screen in front of our face especially for children and teens. Studies are unsure of what all this screen time is doing because of how new it is and the lack of studies that have been done; however, Dr. Gaya Dowling, of the National Institutes of Health, started a long term study. Dr. Gaya Dowling scanned children’s brain who used seven hours of screen time a day and planes on following them for a decade to see what the result is. Dr. Gaya Dowling talked about the children who had more than seven hours of screen time a day had brains that were structured differently. Their brain cortex is thinned compared to other kids with less screen time. While Dr. Gaya Dowling is saying they don’t know if this a bad thing other people are speculating that it will affect the memory, emotional skills, IQ scores, and cognitive skills. scientists are trying to understand what no one currently does: how all that screen time impacts the physical structure of your kids’ brains, as well as their emotional development and mental health.

In today’s society, most kids are used to instant gratification and This can be an issue. With a lot of young children growing up on screens their brains are wired differently and don’t know the difference. When a child reads a book on an iPad or just uses a pad whatever they do will have an effect instantly, teaching the brain that is how life is. Yes, as children get older they will have instant gratification with today’s technology but isn’t it best if they know the difference because of experience.
\nEven using the iPad to read to a young child can adverse effects because their is so much going on the screen over stimulates the child’s brain. Development wise a person reading a book and looking at the illustrations does wonder for a child’s brain. The scientist is also looking to see what looking at a screen does to your eyes especially at a young age such a toddler.
\nWhen you play a video game you know you are not actually shooting stabbing or killing someone but did you know that your body and physiology does not know that, and responds as if you were actually doing the action in your video game. This can have an adverse effect because your body is releasing more endorphins then it should in response to the video game. This, in turn, will make your response to actual events not as active because your body has gone through it a lot more then it actually has.
\nSome other issues with children and teens having too much screen are:
\nYES! Video games are not all bad but that’s if you don’t play too much especially as you and your brain are growing. In Medical News Today in the article “How Video Games Affect the Brain” the author, Hannah Nichols, talks about the positives of video games can have on children and even more on adults. Video games change the structure of the brain and how it performs. There is still a lot of research being done on this subject however some of the positives are:
\nScreen time for children and teenagers still needs more research but scientists do know that more screen time is changing the brain for good and bad.

Remember the day when seeing kids outside in their yard was a normal thing or you were the new kid and you made friends with the neighbors because they were outside? Well, the sad truth is, nowadays that is a rare thing in most cities. It may be because of

\nyour body needs vitamin D sun exposure is one the best ways to get that crucial vitamin.
\nChildren getting outside will help with the recommended one hour of exercise a day. For a child, this shouldn’t be too hard to do on most days.

In today’s society taking thought about risk is a good skill to have. When children are outside, they will take risks like climbing a tree or picking up a bug they haven’t seen before. Whether the child succeeds or not it will teach them to keep trying or it is ok not to be the best at everything.
\nKids playing outside will help them develop problem-solving skills and teach them to be more creative. For these skills to develop it needs to be unstructured and without advice, you don’t want to be the one thinking of the ideas to solve the problem or be creative. When problem-solving it can also help with prioritizing and troubleshooting. Children will do this without even realizing it. If one thing doesn’t work then they will go with a different way that might be more creative and the child might realize they need to do something else first, prioritizing.
\nkids who are outside in the dirt will be exposed to more bugs, pollen, make them stronger muscle and endurance. This will not only help their strength but also their immune system. No one likes a sick child.
\nMake a point to take your child outside every day you can it’s great for them and for you. If you have a yard kick them out while you’re making dinner, even if they’re an only child they will be just fine. Another way is to let them eat breakfast or dinner outside, my daughter recently asked to eat outside and loves it, and that’s an easy cleanup.

There are pros and cons to everything so try and have a balance to everything. We are still trying to figure the exact effects of screen time so in the meantime get the kids outside more. There is no harm in that.

\nYou can find the picture on the official account of WABetaInfo on Twitter where they share a screenshot of the new feature. It was revealed that this feature is specially designed for iOS users. While the program is still in its development phase and will be available in the near future.
\nThe new technology will bring the preview of a voice message on Whatsapp on your notification. If you check the screenshot shared on the official account you can check that there is a play button on the notification bar using which you do not have to open the app to listen to the voice message.
\nThis new features might be available with some new major update in the future for Whatsapp. The iOS users might be able to get access to the dark mode in Whatsapp which will be available after the major iOS 13 update which is coming in September. The dark mode will only be provided to the iOS users first and then only Android users will be able to get it.
\nYou might have already seen the previews of stickers in the notification bar for WhatsApp. By pressing long on the notification you can see the sticks in their full size.

The founder and CEO of AutoX commonly known as Professor X, stated its advantages for people and the environment when it can be used continuously for 24 hours with no emissions. The Autonomous taxi service is specifically build to satisfy such characteristics.
\nThe companies eventually intend to go Globally. The alliance of AutoX with NEVS represents its interest in Autonomous Driving technology. Founded in 2016, AutoX focused on Self-driving services for delivering groceries or similar products to customers in Hong Kong and San Jose. With the requirement, it partnered with a grocery store, GrubMarket.com and with a mobile pilot, DeMartini Orchard.
\nWith a raise from ventures and strategic investors up to $58 million, AutoX plans to expand its venture to Europe with new technology. It became the second company to receive permission to transport humans with autonomous driving technology from the California board.
\nPreviously, Professor X spoke about providing such service to everyone, letting people guess from before about AutoX’s plans. They intend to use high-end technology with economic boundaries by using cameras, unlike the expensive lidar units. The advanced AI algorithm in AutoX makes such tasks possible. AutoX currently has 115 employees, with an increase in plans, they plan to hire 50 more employees this year. For increasing its area geographically in San Jose, it is thoroughly working with the government and expects to launch by next month.
\nAutoX received its permit in China. It is not clear about how they plan to launch their services, however, it is known that they are working alongside a Chinese company to implement their plans.
